May2013 Bloom Day title

Spring is here & my gardens are in full swing. It seems like overnight everything has leafed out or started blooming. It’s fantastic.

SHADE GARDEN

Left: The rhododendron only has 2 bunches of these pink flowers. And the flowers that are there look a bit beat up.

FRONT YARD

Left: I love the orange poppy against the purple thyme.

Bottom left: Creeping Phlox

BACK YARD

May2013 Bloom Day back
Top Left: Morning Reveille Iris. Top Right: My lilac also only has one flower bunch. But at least the plant is looking good, unlike last year when the deer ate most of it. Bottom: Japanese Rose

BIRD VILLAGE

Top Left: Forget me nots. Top Right: Weigela

Right: The Canadian thistles & dandelions are kickin’ my butt right now. They grow quicker than I can get them all pulled. On one of my weed pulling stints, Princess K came out in my boots. Totally made my day.

I’m sharing this post with Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day.
