Farm Kid1 & I are both enjoying this unit. It has been a great way to discuss other countries, even if it hasn’t been in great detail. I like learning about so many countries, but next year I think we will only do 1 or 2 countries per week so we can study each country more in depth. I would like to learn a song,
Christmas Around the World – Week 1
For three weeks we will be learning about how Christmas is celebrated around the world. We are studying three countries each week. This first week we learned about Finland, France, and Australia. Much of the information for this unit was found on Homeschool Share. I also checked out many books from the library & searched the web.
Farmer Boy Lapbook

Eric Carle Style Collage Art

During the week they only charge $5 per carload. I spend more in gas than on admission. At the end of the row is the name of
Tulip Fest 2010
The Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest has been open for many years, but 2010 was the first year I went to experience it. I enjoyed it so much, I keep going back year after year. I want to keep the previous years on my blog so I can see changes in the fields, changes in my photography skills & what caught my attention each year.
