Oct 2014 Bloom Day title

It’s already here. The 15th of the month. And that means it’s Bloom Day, a day to show off the beauties in our flower gardens.

It is raining like crazy this morning, and will probably not let up ’til May. But, I did manage to get a few pics the other day before the flowers got soggy.

FRONT YARD

Left: The pickerel weed is still flowering. Right: The nasturtiums were not looking their best just a month ago. Since the weather has cooled down & we’ve received some rain, they are looking well again.

IN THE GARDEN & ALONG THE GOAT FENCE

Top Left: All summer I’ve been watching the sunflowers & zinnias grow along the goat fence. A few weeks ago they were at their peak. Top Right: Many calendula blooms have faded, but a few are hanging on. Bottom Left: Zinnia. Bottom Right: Marigolds & Rhode Island Red in the garden.

BIRD VILLAGE
