No new birds this week. The bird I’m posting about this week isn’t even a bird I saw this year. I saw it last year hanging out near my pond. It is a male Western Bluebird. The cool thing about this bird was that it was banded. My curiosity got the best of me & I sent a message to the USGS Bird Banding Laboratory. Not long later I received an email from a nice woman telling me where the bird had come from. She also thanked me for helping them with their research. It’s fun to be a citizen scientist.
