From Oregon it was on to Idaho. It wasn’t a long stay, but we saw did enjoy our time in the Gem State.
SHOSHONE ICE CAVE
Excluding a quick meet up with John’s cousin, our first stop in Idaho was the Shoshone Ice Cave.
Outside the cave is hot and rugged.
Inside the cave is chilly, and even a bit icy.
CRATERS OF THE MOON
After our tour of the ice cave, we drove about 2 hours to Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve. We stayed the night in their campground and explored the lava flows and caves the next morning.
HEADING TO WYOMING
After our hikes around Craters of the Moon, it was off to Wyoming.
