In 2006, we took a road trip to Minnesota to visit Farmer John’s mom. It was a 4300 mile adventure with a mom, dad, 3 year old boy, 9 month old boy and a yellow labrador… and we camped out of our dodge truck most of the way.
We began our day at the KOA near Mount Rushmore and needed to get nearly all the way across South Dakota to DeSmet. So, our trip through the Badlands was pretty quick. It was a pretty amazing geological area full of buttes, pinnacles and canyons.
