Devils Tower is a rock formation rising 867 feet out of a northeastern Wyoming prairie. It is sacred to many Indian tribes & was our first national monument.
Heading towards Devils Tower
Like many of our stops, we arrived not long before sunset.
We saw prairie dogs in Prairie Dog Town
We stayed the evening at Belle Fourche Campground.
We hiked the popular Tower Trail seeing multiple angles of the tower.
We noticed a couple climbers high up the tower.
Pine forest in the Bear Lodge Mountains.
Driving back to the campground for the evening, we noticed a rattlesnake in the middle of the road.
The next morning we woke early and headed to South Dakota.
